Our Client is a fast developing Company providing cleaning and support services to clients within the food industry throughout the UK. We are looking for a talented Hygiene Manager with experience of working in a busy food manufacturing environment to manage our contract which operates with 65 employees covering operations 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Your role will involve improving the hygiene standards throughout the factory. It is important that world class hygiene standards are embedded throughout the site and cleaning team. It is also critical that safe working procedures are followed.
Technical leadership / Customer Relationship Management Builds relationships and collaborates with others (e.g. customers, colleagues, partners suppliers) to achieve the agreed site strategy.;The ambition to achieve goals/objectives and the discipline, organisation and perseverance to deliver outstanding customer service. ;Appears energised and energises others by exceeding set goals Understands what high performance looks like on site and delivers this.
Delivering Results / Information Management
The ability to gather and make sense of large amounts of information and apply it to make business and customer focussed decisions. To proactively improve hygiene standards throughout the whole site and ensure documentation is kept up to date. To ensure that Key Performance Indicators are monitored and actions are taken to continuously improve them. To ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed as required and that appropriate records are kept to show due diligence. To ensure that risk assessments are completed for the site and safe systems of work adhered to. To ensure the Hygiene operation is integrated into the manufacturing operation in a seamless way.
Management / Leadership
The ability to inspire others to ensure customer objectives are achieved. Create an environment that enables the team to perform at its best. Demands high levels of performance, quality of service, and holds people to account by ensuring targets are met. Is recognised as the natural ;go person Effectively delegates responsibility, providing support as required. The encouragement of long term development of others to build capability.
The successful candidate will
Have previous experience in the effectiveness and efficiency of hygiene practices and systems. ;Be passionate, flexible and have proven management experience within a high performance food manufacturing environment Have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels Have the ability to demonstrate strong technical understanding of Hygiene and Food Safety. Have experience of auditing of hygiene functions, systems and documentation requirements. Have front line people management skills Experience of managing a hygiene budget and will have experience of procuring hygiene materials and cost control. Good knowledge of safe systems of work, Health ; Safety and COSHH Applicants must have experience in managing large complex manufacturing environments and have recognised food hygiene experience / qualifications
This position is a day is based role, but requires the flexibility to work nights and weekends as required to support supervisory teams.
