My client is a market leader in the reprocessing of medical devices. This company offers customised solutions to hospitals for the modernisation of their Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD). This involves supplying decontamination/sterile services to a number of private hospitals in the region. They are now looking to recruit an experienced manager for their Sterile Services Unit located in Stockport.
You should be able to demonstrate that you:
Manage a first class decontamination service and provide leadership, strategic direction and facilities management to the Decontamination Unit. Manage, motivate, train and engage the unit’s workforce. Ensure effective financial management and control including budgeting, costing and relevant reports. Performance data analysis undertaken and communicated to all staff. Set high personal and professional standards in line with company policy. Maintain the Quality Assurance Accreditation programme. Ensure that all Unit activities are in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and manage the team’s performance on an ongoing basis. Assist in the induction of new staff and technicians. Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and processes are documented.
If you have 3 years experience within a senior management role, have experience of running and driving forward a busy sterile services unit, thorough knowledge of the decontamination process with a sterile services environment, a flexible approach and ability to communicate at all levels. Ideally you will have a managerial qualification and experience and have completed decontamination course.
