PPRUK are currently recruiting for a busy health centre pharmacy in the Swindon area and are looking for a Pharmacy Manager/ Superintendent Pharmacist to head up the support team already in place.
The successful Pharmacist will be an experienced manager with a proven track record of maintaining high standards within the pharmacy branch including business and support staff development. The ability to build rapport with both customers and colleagues are essential as quality, professionalism and service from staff are what drive this pharmacy forward. You will carry out the normal duties in your Pharmacy of Managing staff, dispensing, advising customers and colleagues and importantly working and exceeding targets for which you will be rewarded for as well as running the pharmacy on a day to day basis
- Responsible for the day to day running of a busy dispensary which will include repeat dispensing, MDS service and advice to both nursing and care homes.
- Working towards initiating a collection and delivery service.
- Working closely with the practice to ensure all medication reviews are completed
- Day to day management, including staff training, coaching and mentoring.
- Researching, evaluating and assimilating new information in line with new policy.
- Continual professional development including updating computer literacy.
- Communicating effectively, including liaising with GP's and other healthcare providers.
- The role will also have responsibility to carry out all legal, ethical and professional duties of a Superintendent Pharmacist as listed by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in general, and in the Code of Ethics and Practice of a Superintendent Pharmacist in particular.
The position offers:- Salary - £50,000 - £55,000, 25 days holiday, RPSGB fees paid, contributory pension scheme including life assurance and bonuses
