Mechanical Design Engineer - St. Neots, Cambridgeshire
Design Engineer , Draughtsperson is required to work with the design team on their comprehensive range of special purpose machinery that our Client manufactures. You must have significant experience in the use of Solid Modelling design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor but similar would be considered) and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
The following would be advantageous:
Any significant experience of design work carried out on food machinery (conveyors, special purpose machinery) and systems. A working knowledge of some of the following, both at user design and calculation levels:
- Steam systems and energy calculations
- Fluid systems, pumps and pipework
- Pneumatics
- Stress calculations
- Sizing of motor/gearboxes for applications
- Pressure vessel calculations (PD5500)
Minimum qualification to HNC level or equivalent.
Temporary position, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position.
Location: St. Neots area
Own transport would be an advantage due to location.
